The Beginner Program is designed for children, ages 4 years and older, and adults who have never ridden or who have limited experience riding English. Students will learn control of the horse and correct riding form at the walk, trot and canter. The Beginner Program's emphasis is to build a solid foundation of basic riding skills. We offer instruction on your own horses and ponies or a mount from Equibest.

The first few lessons are private and one-half hour in duration. When each student is ready, they may be moved into a beginners’ group lesson that is one hour in duration. Reliable lesson horses are provided as well as riding helmets to help ensure the safety of every rider.

Lesson Policy:

We offer our monthly lesson programs at a greatly reduced rate as compared to our single lesson rate. If you do not receive all of your lessons during the month, you are probably still ahead, but if under the minimum number, the lessons revert to the per lesson cost of $35.00 for the Beginner Program. No one will pay more than his or her program package cost.

Payment Policy:

Payment is due at the first lesson each month.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy:

You may cancel lessons the day before your lesson is scheduled, and reschedule during the current month only. It is your responsibility to call and reschedule your makeup lesson. If Equibest should have to cancel any lessons for any reason, it will be the responsibility of the instructor to call you and reschedule the lesson. Lessons not cancelled within 24 hours will not be rescheduled and you will be charged for the lesson. Lessons are held during inclement weather. Any disputes regarding your statement need to be discussed within fifteen (15) days of receipt of your statement or all charges stand as billed.

Lessons on your own horse:

You are responsible for being ready for your lesson on time. You need to have your own horse tacked and groomed. Our grooming stalls are usually full with Equibest riding school horses, so please groom your horse by your trailer. Please clean up any manure left by your horse.
